About A. Slusher

Annissa Slusher is a fine artist whose work captures the quiet beauty of everyday life through luminous still life paintings in oil and soft pastel. With a background in design from Duke University (Class of 1992) and continued study at the Milan Art Institute, she brings a thoughtful, trained eye to each composition.
While she has explored many subjects—from animals to landscapes—her greatest joy lies in still life. Each piece tells a quiet story, as if you’ve just stepped into a moment someone left behind. Her paintings invite viewers to pause and feel the warmth, presence, and hope woven into the ordinary.
Slusher is especially drawn to the way light shapes objects, transforming simple scenes into something poetic and dimensional. Her goal is to create artwork that is not only beautiful, but meaningful—art that brings comfort, light, and richness to the spaces it inhabits.
She signs her work as A. Slusher and is currently based between the southeastern United States.
