About

I have always been fascinated by the natural world. The more closely I look, the more extraordinary life seems.

Throughout my life, that curiosity has led me down many paths. Art, design, science, and the study of living systems may appear to be very different pursuits, but for me they have always been connected but the same desire: to better understanding appreciate the remarkable world around us.

Rather than answering questions, deeper study often seemed to reveal new ones. The more I learned about the complexity and interconnectedness of life, the more profound and mysterious it became. Knowledge never diminished my sense of awe–it deepened it.

Painting has become one way of exploring and sharing that perspective. It allows me to slow down, pay attention, and celebrate the beauty and intricacy that so often go unnoticed in everyday life.

I earned a degree in Design from Duke University and later continued my fine art studies through the Milan Art Institute. Today, I live in Kinsale, Ireland, where I continue to paint, observe, and remain endlessly fascinated by the extraordinary nature of life.
